The Brethren movement began under the leadership of Alexander Mack, Sr. in 1708 in Schwarzenau Germany as a natural outgrowth of the Anabaptist and Pietist movements following the Reformation. Signup Sheets

There are various signup sheets available on the church bulletin board. There is a weekly Sunday Greeter signup if you would like to be a Sunday morning greeter and there is a Floral Display signup if you would like to provide flowers in the sanctuary for the Sunday morning service. Lastly, we have the list of birthdays that is posted in the bulletin the first week of each month. Please check the list to make sure your birthday is correct or if you would like to add your family to the list.

Operation Christmas Child

We announced several ways you can help with Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes. One way is to donate items monthly to help have toys to pack for our Shoebox Church Packing Party that will be held this fall. For the month of May, we will be collecting stuffed animals (small or medium), tote bags or backpacks. If you have questions, please see Lee Landes after the worship service.

Blue Ridge Region Prayer Retreat

SATURDAY    JUNE 1ST    8:00 am – 4:00 pm

Blue Ridge Region Prayer Retreat – On Saturday, June 1, the Blue Ridge Region of the Covenant Brethren is having their first Prayer
Retreat. It will be at Calvary Covenant Brethren Church, 578 Front Royal Pike, Winchester, VA from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. There is no charge for the retreat or meals. Please RSVP by May 20th to brprayer@covenantbrethren.org.
