Statement of Faith
The Brethren movement began under the leadership of Alexander Mack, Sr. in 1708 in Schwarzenau Germany as a natural outgrowth of the Anabaptist and Pietist movements following the Reformation. Signup Sheets
There are various signup sheets available on the church bulletin board. There is a weekly Sunday Greeter signup if you would like to be a Sunday morning greeter and there is a Floral Display signup if you would like to provide flowers in the sanctuary for the Sunday morning service. There is also a signup sheet to have your name, address, phone number and email in the 2023 directory. Lastly, we have the list of birthdays that is posted in the bulletin the first week of each month. Please check the list to make sure your birthday is correct or if you would like to add your family to the list.

Lenten Service

NRMA will share together in meal and worship at the Sangerville Church of the Brethren. Soup and sandwich meal will begin at 6:00 p.m., followed by a community worship service. Community choir practice starts at 5:00 p.m.

Spring CBM
sunday March 26th After worship service
*** CHANGE OF DATE *** SPRING CBM will be March 26 following morning worship service. The CBC is asking Moscow, to join together in a Sunday of denominational worship with the topic of fellowship, being front and center. For us to do this, our CBM meal has changed from today to next Sunday, March 26, to coincide this fellowship time with other Covenant Brethren churches. On Fellowship Sunday, churches are encouraged to promote Christian unity through focusing on fellowship during worship, sharing a fellowship meal together, and mixing together with other believers we don’t normally have a chance to visit with.
Easter Egg Hunt
saturday april 1st 1 pm
On Saturday, April 1, the children of Moscow and their community friends are invited to be a part of our annual Easter Egg Hunt. Activities will begin at 1:00 p.m., and we ask that parents don’t drop off their children with without supervision. The Christian Education team is needing candy donations to help make this event a success. Candy donations can be left in Pastor Darren’s office. (Pastor Darren promises not to eat it!)
Love Feast Service
sunday april 2nd Following worship service
On Palm Sunday, April 2, the Moscow Church will observe the Love Feast Service, following the morning worship. Everyone is welcomed to take part or observe. You don’t need to be a member of the church to participate. This is a feet washing service and will include the bread and cup communion. Hand washing will also be available for those that want. This service will take place in the Fellowship Hall, shortly following morning worship.
Easter Sunrise Service

The NRMA is sponsoring an Easter Sunrise Service on Sunday, April 9 at 7 a.m. In case of increment weather, we will meet in the picnic shelter nearest the chimneys.
Easter Sunrise Breakfast
sunday april 9th 9 am
On Easter Sunday, April 9, be sure to come out for our youth breakfast. Food will include scrambled eggs, sausage patties, gravy and biscuits, hash-browns, fresh fruit, pastries, juice, milk and water. The breakfast will start at 9:00 a.m., and everyone is invited to come eat and fellowship. A freewill offering will be received at the door, which will go to the Children’s Ministry at Moscow.
North River Women’s Prayer Breakfast

The Annual North River Churches Women’s Prayer Breakfast will be held at the Emmanuel Church of the Brethren on Saturday, April 15 at 8:30 a.m. There is a sign-up sheet on the kitchen door for those interested in attending. Please sign up by April 2nd so reservations can be made.
Church Camp
July 23 – 27
CHURCH CAMP – The Central Blue Ridge Region Summer Camp will be from July 23 – July 27 for combined senior and middle schoolers. This year’s camp will be held at Shenandoah Meadows Retreat at 433 Meadow View Lane, Ft. Valley, VA 22652. Registration information can be obtained through Pastor Darren. Registration deadline is June 12, 2023.
